UpGreg at the Global Tech Summit in Lausanne
On September 1, 2026, UpGreg will be at the Startups Village of the Global Tech Summit in Lausanne. We're proud to have been selected as one of 6 startups in the Startups Village to present UpGreg – and, more importantly, to let you meet Greg.
Beyond the pitch: What we're really building
There are plenty of sports coaching apps out there. We wanted to go one step further: build a conversational AI sports coach that understands your training, remembers your plan and continuously adapts it to your real-life situation. That's what we set out to build with UpGreg, and at a price that individual human coaching simply couldn't match.
🔗 All your training data in one place
UpGreg connects to Strava, Garmin, Polar, Withings and Apple Health in just a few seconds. Why? Because a coach can only adapt your training properly if they know your actual training load. Your plan should be based on what you really do – not just what you remember doing.
🔄 Your plan evolves after every workout
A week off? A heavy training load? A particularly tough session? UpGreg adjusts your plan. Not next week. Not in your next training cycle. That same day.
📊 CTL, ATL, TSB: Data that actually drives your training
UpGreg continuously calculates your key training-load metrics: CTL, ATL and TSB. But the goal isn't to drown you in complicated charts. These metrics serve one purpose: help Greg make better decisions about your training.
💬 A coach you can actually talk to
This is probably the most important part. Greg doesn't just send you a training plan. Every week, he can explain how your training went, why your plan is changing and what you should do next. And if you have a question between sessions? The chat is available 24/7, by text or voice. Because a real coach should be able to talk to you.
The questions you can ask us
The Global Tech Summit is also a chance to talk about the real questions behind the product :
- How does UpGreg work across sports as different as triathlon, trail running, HYROX or Spartan Race ? Training load can add up, but the specific requirements of each discipline still matter. That's exactly the complexity we wanted to build into the system.
- What happens if I get injured or have to stop training for two weeks ? Your plan needs to adapt. UpGreg can switch into recovery mode, reassess your capacity and gradually guide you back into training.
- What happens to my data ? Data protection has been a core part of our approach from day one. For users in Switzerland, we comply with the requirements of the Swiss FADP; for users in Europe, with the GDPR. We don't sell your data.
- And pricing ? Simple and transparent: 7 days free, then you choose your plan. You can cancel at any time. No hidden catches.
Come and test UpGreg with your own data
The best way to understand UpGreg probably isn't to read this blog post. It's to try it yourself. We'll be at the Startups Village of the Global Tech Summit in Lausanne on September 1, 2026. Bring your Strava data and we'll show you exactly how UpGreg analyses your training, recalculates your training load and builds your plan in real time. And, most importantly, you'll be able to talk directly to Greg.
Ask him your real questions: Is my marathon goal realistic ? Am I training too much ? How should I prepare for my first HYROX ? I've gone from 2 to 4 training sessions a week – how should I adapt my plan ? I missed two weeks of training – what should I do now ?
That's exactly the kind of conversation we built UpGreg for.
“Come and ask me your real questions. Which sport is giving you the most trouble? You've gone from 2 to 4 training sessions a week and don't know how to make it work? Wondering whether your marathon goal is too ambitious? Those are exactly the kinds of conversations we can have together.”
